The Peace Game is DSF’s flagship crisis simulation exercise, immersing U.S. government officials in a two-day scenario set in a fictional African nation to strengthen interagency coordination and real-world preparedness.

The A.I. Policy & Diplomacy Seminar Series, launched by DSF in partnership with Meridian International Center, brings together diplomats, policymakers, and private sector leaders to explore the evolving role of artificial intelligence in global affairs through expert-led discussions and cross-sector collaboration.

DSF actively engages with Congress to promote innovative training initiatives for the State Department, resulting in bipartisan legislation and recognition as a trusted voice on foreign affairs education policy.

Past Programs

Explore our past programs focused on military strategy, commercial diplomacy, and legislative engagement.

DSF collaborated with the Foreign Service Institute to tailor the Peace Game into a focused half-day exercise for the Political-Military Capstone course, demonstrating its adaptability to specialized training needs.

DSF partnered with Southern Methodist University to launch the Commercial Diplomacy Initiative, facilitating dialogue and collaboration between senior business leaders and U.S. government officials to enhance support for American commercial interests.

DSF funded a Visiting Fellow at FSI to assess senior training needs, revealing critical gaps and driving the development of enhanced professional development programs for senior foreign policy officers.

DSF partnered with the Council on Foreign Relations to launch a pilot seminar series bridging communication gaps between the State Department and Congress, fostering mutual understanding and collaboration among mid-level officials before shifting focus to AI-related topics.

Since 2019, DSF’s Area Studies Fellowship Program with FSI has successfully enhanced curriculum and instruction through retired ambassadors, driving significant enrollment growth and prompting FSI to seek permanent funding.
