Colonel Nate Prussian – Advisor
Colonel Nate Prussian graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1995 as a Distinguished Military Graduate, receiving a Regular Army commission. His first assignment was to the 82nd Airborne Division where he served as a Rifle Platoon Leader, Anti-Armor Platoon Leader, and Rifle Company Executive Officer. Following graduation from the Infantry Captains Career Course in 2000, Col. Prussian attended Special Forces Assessment and Selection, and immediately attended the Special Forces Officer Qualification Course, graduating in May 2001.
Col. Prussian has held a number of assignments in Special Operations beginning with his assignment to 3rd BN, 1st SFG(A), Fort Lewis, WA where he served as the ODA 172 Commander. More recently Col. Prussian served in the Office of the Secretary of Defense as a policy advisor in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low Intensity Conflict. Following his assignment in the Pentagon, Col. Prussian commanded 6th Battalion, 1st Special Warfare Training Group. Following Battalion Command, Col. Prussian commanded a Squadron at a Special Mission Unit. Following completion of Senior Service College as a Fellow at Duke University, Col. Prussian commanded 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne).
During command of the 3rd Special Forces Group he served as both a force provider, and a deployed headquarters. From 2018 to 2020 Nate prepared and deployed teams, companies, and battalions to Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Somalia, Yemen, and fifteen countries in Africa. Col. Prussian also deployed his own headquarters in order to command SOC FWD NW Africa in 2018/2019 and JSOTF-Somalia in 2020. Following command of the 3rd Special Forces Group, Nate retired from the Army after nearly 26 years and seventeen combat or operational deployments. Through these assignments Nate has served in combat in Kosovo, Philippines, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, and Somalia, and provided policy advice at the highest levels of government.
Since retiring, Nate has served as a two-time COO, and now lives in the Washington DC area.
