Lizzie Dixon - Programs and Publications Manager
Lizzie Dixon is a Washington, D.C.–based foreign policy professional who serves as Programs and Publications Manager at the U.S. Diplomatic Studies Foundation (DSF) and as D.C. Program Manager at the Eisenhower Institute.
At DSF, Lizzie works to strengthen civilian leadership in international affairs. She oversees the organization’s publications and public-facing content, engages with congressional and institutional partners, and manages programs that prepare current and future foreign policy professionals to navigate the demands of modern statecraft.
At the Eisenhower Institute, she designs and leads policy programs on national security, global economic transformation, war and reconciliation, political polarization, and the separation of powers. In 2025, she was selected for Foreign Policy for America’s NextGen Initiative, contributing to its Democracy and Human Rights working group and its Diplomacy and Foreign Relations working group.
Lizzie’s public service career began in 2020 on a state legislative campaign in Southeastern Pennsylvania, where her digital content and grassroots outreach helped flip a seat held by the opposing party since the district’s creation in 1969. In 2021, she began working on Capitol Hill in her U.S. Representative’s office. She later joined the office of a U.S. Senator from her home state of Pennsylvania, supporting his foreign policy and national security portfolio.
Driven to serve vulnerable communities, Lizzie went on to provide casework and social services to immigrant and refugee survivors of torture and trafficking at the Nationalities Service Center. She then worked at the U.S. Department of State from 2023 to 2024, drafting remarks, preparing media releases, and developing digital content for the Office of Global Youth Issues.
Lizzie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English Literature from McGill University, where she graduated with First-Class Joint Honours. She is particularly interested in the intersection of human rights and U.S. foreign policy and believes that effective advocacy for rights abroad draws strength from institutional integrity at home.
